Helen Hayes Brown ... "Ziegfeld Girl," "The First lady of the American Theater"

Hayes began a stage career at an early age and went on to win two Academy Awards, One for "Best actress" in her sound film debut no-less "The Sin of Madelon Claudet" and later "Best Supporting Actress" for the 1970 film 'Airplane," plus, has won some Tony Awards as well. Overtime she has had a few Theaters named after her in diferent cities and we can't forget her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! (6220 Hollywood Blvd.)

Hayes died on 3/17/1993 from congestive heart failure in Nyack, New York. Hayes was interred in the Oak Hill Cemetery, in Nyack.
