Yvonne Menard ... "."
A Parisian baker's daughter and very talented dancer. Best known for her dancing in the 1948 ("Féeries et Folies") to 1966 Folies Bergere in Paris France, Frederic Rey partnered her many times. Shortly after WWII ended, Yvonne got a job as a nude mannequin in a small Montmarte night spot called "La Cigale." The spot didn't last long.
One rainy day, Yvonne trudged past the Folies and on an impulse "I would never had dared if it hadn't been raining, because I did not think I was good enough" she went in and asked for a job. First she was a member of the famous Folies line. Then she moved into a speaking role, then a headliner. Spent some time off and on performing in the USA in NY, Miami and Las Vegas. In the USA on the burlesque stages she was known for her 'Bubble Bath' routine. Was on a 2/1954 cover of Playboy Magazine and 5/1952 Life Magazine insert and a few other Mens mags.
