Vintage Burlesque Dancer: Helena Gardner. Popular Burlesque peeler and Showgirl of the 1940's and 50's and little sister to Val de Val. Following in her sister's footsteps, she began as a chorus girl at Colosimo's night club (Chicago.) Danced in the Canadian run of the 'Earl Carroll's Vanities in April of 1942 (as the foursome). One of her acts was reading men's minds, supposedly, however she would say something like, "oh, you want me to remove more" or "take this off" and the gentlemen seated would pant 'yes'.
