Dolly Dawson ... "She's Irish and she's beautiful," Million Dollar Doll"
Vintage Burlesque Dancer, Model: Started in the mid to late 1930's. Was the star in the "Bowery Burlesquer" in 1944 at the Casino Theatre in PA. which was said she hadn't appeared there since 1940 when she had her own Girl comedy revue¹. Worked in the Milt Schuster Unit circuit wheel (1942). Danced in Honey Bee Keller's "Step Lively Girls revue" in 12/1940 (Sammy Smith was in show).
Also danced in some musicals as well as Billy Houses 'Tons of Fun'. Dance in Sammy Smiths combo act called 'Nutcrackers Revue of 1948' which included Tanglefoot and Dorothy Starr. Was a principle dancer in Sally Rands 'Fan Tail Review at the Maryland Theatre. Helped Lamee Lane return to burlesque by donating the necessary items for her return 7/1945. Dolly Dawson ran the "Dolly Dawson School of Exotic Dancing" in 1959.
