April March

Burlesque Dancer: April March

April March (Velma Fern Worden)
aka: First Lady of Burleque. Burlesque Dancer, Stripper

Miss March was a raven haired beauty who exposed a lot of warmth and charm.
She would go on to become one of the innovators of the elegant strip tease.
She became a headline act in burlesque starting in 1952 at the 'The Theater Lounge' in Dallas, TX.
She retired in 1978 citing that the business had changed and become too blatant and sexual.
