Swing Parade of 1946 (aka:)

-- Synopsis: " Your Pleasure Treasure For 1946 and All-Time!"
A low-budget " B" film musical featuring Gale Storm. As you can tell by the title the movie there is a lot of swing music acts with an appearance by the Three Stooges. A struggling young singer Carol Lawrence (Storm) who is mistaken for a process server, falls for Danny Warren (Phil Regan) who is a new nightclub owner whose millionaire father is trying to shut it down. The Stooges are in fine form, with the reliable Ed Brophy as their foil in extended versions of their " plumbers" and " waiters" routines. The other guest artists are Louis Jordan and his Tympany Five, who do two jump numbers, singer Connee Boswell does a good job of belting some songs and sound-effects mimic Windy Cook.

* The dance numbers are energetic with some excellent Fred Astaire type tap dance routines.
