" Billie is as beautiful as a seed-catalog tomato"

-- Synopsis: A fun but silly comedy about a dimwitted musical hillbilly genius Lester Robin (Bob Burns) from Arkansas who composes brilliant songs, but only while he is asleep and cannot remember them upon waking. This leads him to be taken by some unscrupulous producers Harry Miller and Billy Shaw (Jack Oakie and Ann Miller) who are constantly trying to get him to go to sleep so they can steal the credit by producing his songs so they can pay the rent. Filmed at Radio City Music Hall and is a Fun film for the entire family.

* A young 14 year old Ann Miller does some of her Tap dancing and Whitey's Lindy Hoppers strut their stuff. Rare dancing of Tiny Bunch (Last Picture, in apron) also appears. Herbert " Whitey" White is also seen in this film as a waiter, carrying a tray of food. Buster West and Melissa " High Kick" West do some interesting solo dancing in the field.
