Hollywood Canteen

-- Synopsis: Two soldiers " Slim" (Robert Hutton) and " Sargent" (Dane Clark) are on sick leave spend three nights at the Hollywood Canteen before going back to active duty. During WWII, Canteen's sprouted up all over the country. The Hollywood celebrities created a version called the Hollywood Canteen for military personnel to rest, relax and safe entertainment which this film is about those efforts. Gives a pretty good idea how the canteens worked especially the Hollywood Canteen. This film had about 100 stars making appearences in this film. Nominated for 3 Oscars.

* Rosario and Antonio do a Spanish dance routine to the song Voodoo Moon. A brief Jitterbug dance scenes. The Hollywood Canteen was an actual place for servicemen in the 1940s in Hollywood California.
