Ring of Black Bottom Cake
In small bowl, beat and set aside:
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
8 ounces cream cheese
1 egg
12 ounces chocolate chips
In larger bowl, mix:
2 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
3 cups flour
3/4 cup cocoa
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
1 cup hot water
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla

1. Pour half of the batter into a 10" greased tube pan.
2. Spoon cream cheese mixture evenly in the middle of the batter.
3. Top with remaining batter.
4. Bake at 350F for 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 hours
