| The Musical 'Darktown
Follies' opened at the Lafayette Theatre in Harlem
in 1911. It introduced the Texas
Tommy and Ballin'
The Jack to the public. This was a very successful
and important Musical which was later (1929) made
into a movie featuring Buck
and Bubbles.
African American Tap dance stars Ford Washington
Lee as 'Buck' and John William Sublett as 'Bubbles'
star in this 'All Colored Cast' Film done in 1929.
