Aileene Pringle ... "Ziegfeld Girl," "the Darling of the Intellectuals."

Born into a family of wealth and high position, she was educated in Europe and started her theatrical career shortly after her 1916 marriage to Pringle. A already urbane socialite became a star of the Silent Screen who in 1920 starred with Rudolph Valentino in 'Stolen Moments', however as with many others, when sound came in, she did not fair well. She continued through the 1920s, though with time she gained a reputation as rude and difficult to work with. She made over 80 films and a small bit of Television appearences.

Her first husband was the son of a former governor of Jamaica, seems he didn't want to leave Jamaica which led to the divorce. Aileene obtained a Mexican divorce from Pringle which resulted in some problems after, as it was not recognized as valid, they succeded in jamaica. Spokeswoman for Lux toilet soap company. She recieved a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She died in 1989 at age 94 and was interred at Woodlawn Cemetery Bronx Bronx County New York.
