    Ballet trained dancer and choreographer. Albertina studied dance at the Royal Opera Ballet School in Vienna. Made her ballet debut at the age of 13 years in Vienna and her American debut as premiere danseuse at the N.Y. Hippodrome in 1911. She danced in many Broadway plays as well as did the choreography. She was a Prima Ballerina at the Century Opera Company in New York by 1914. Also in 1914 did a royal command function
of Emperor Francis Joseph at his palace in Vienna doing the Furlana.

    Formed her own troupe called the Albertina Rasch Girls in 1924 which consisted of 50 girls who performed at the Hippodome theatre in New York and later appeared in many Ziegfeld shows as well as being one of the first American girl troupes to travel to Paris to perform at the Moulin Rouge which at

the time was usually the other way around. She opened her own dance studio in in Steinway Hall in New York in 1923 and toured in Cuba with Sarah Bernhardt.

    Albertina Staged many musicals as well as choreographed such as Rio Rita, Black and White, Three Musketeers, The Band Wagon, The Great Waltz and More. Also did Choreography for films such as Rosalie, Broadway Melodies etc. Albertina married composer Dimitri Tiokin (5/10/1899-11/11/1979,) born in St. Petersburg, Russia. Albertina passed away in 1967 in Woodland Hills, Ca.
