-The Blue Eyed, Redheaded Nancy Carroll started her career on Broadway
before entering the motion picture business in 1918 at the young
age of fourteen in "Riders of the Purple Sage", but
it was a flop. Danced as a show girl on Broadway such as "Big
Boy" at the Winter Garden Theatre.
-Reentering the movie business in 1927 and finally making it big
as a flapper, and by 1928 was making many films, she would continue
on during the soundies in another successful film entitled "the
Shopworn Angel" because she could also sing and had a pleasing
voice (as well as cute).
-She would play many roles from Flappers to comedians to heroines.
Nancy retired from show business in 1938 with her last big picture
being "That Certain Age". She passed away due to a heart
attack in 1965.
