After moving to California, Carole was spotted
playing baseball by film director Allan Dawn and signed to a one
picture contract in 1921 when she was just twelve years old. The
film was called 'A PERFECT CRIME'. In 1926, an auto accident scarred
the left side of her face, which was repaired by plastic surgery.
She would make two special dance films of note 'Bolero (1934)
and Rumba (1935.)' Carole Lombard was also selected as one of
the Top 25 Hollywood Female Legends by AFI in 1942.
On January 16, 1942, Carole, her mother, and
20 other passengers all perished when their plane went down outside
of Las Vegas, Nevada.
