Was a star All-American football player (running
back) on the University of Alabama football team, who wanted
to be an entertainer. Originally was a dancer who was well known
for his Bowery Tap routine with Qwen Lee (pictured.)
Later he went to Hollywood and got into acting
and danced in many dance spots in movies such as 'Our Dancing
Daughters' with Joan Crawford and began doing bit parts around
1927 in silent's, a few musicals and later was mainly cast in
western roles. His first big screen western role was in the 1933
role of 'FIGHTING WITH KIT CARSON' film.
Brown appeared in over 160 movies (mainly westerns) between 1927
and 1966. Brown died in Woodland Hills, California of heart failure
at the age of 70.
