Her stage names were Dolly White and Dorothy
White. She studied dance and gymnastics in Philadelphia, PA. where
she joined a dance group called the Hoffman
Girls. She began her career as a teenager and continued in
show business into the late 1930's. She worked on Broadway, in
Vaudeville, Hollywood and Europe (including the Moulin Rouge.)
Bing Crosby wrote to her begging her to go out with him.
Connie daughter writes:
I haven't put up Dollie's biography on my site yet but I should
have it done by this weekend if you'd like to have a look. You
know more about all of this stuff than I do, so maybe you'll pick
up on something that I am missing. Anyway, thanks for putting
up a page for her and I will cross my fingers that someone will
be able to tell me more about her. (see link below If
You can help her, her.)
