A talented Spanish dancer who had a elegant and stately demeanor traveled through Europe and the United States with her unique style of dance but based on heavy on tradition. Carola studied Spanish dance in New York as well as Madrid and ballet in New York with Michel Fokine and at the Metropolitan Opera Ballet School.     She is believed to have been the first performer to treat castanets o as solo instruments not just devices used in the dance. She gave many performances in symphonies and concertos for castanets, and used many different musicians such as Roman Gonzales over time, especially her sister Beatrice Weller, a Harpist. Her costumes were elegant and usually portrayed the different provinces of the dance.     Carola died at her home in Manhattan due to a heart attack. She was 88.
