Born of a
French father and an American mother. Leslie found an interets
in Ballet dancing at the age of nine and by the age of sixteen
joined the Ballet des Champs Elysees. Caron was spotted
in Roland Petit 1946 Ballet "Orpheus" by Gene
Kelly and then wife Betsy Blair.
Originally a ballet dancer turned Oscar
award actress, Leslie Caron was born in Paris, France and
would later come to the USA and partner up with such dance
legends as Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly. Caron only made
a few musicals which not all showcased her dancing. At the
age of twenty-five she stopped dancing in musicals to partake
in more dramatic roles.
