Stage Name

Birth Name

Cab Calloway Cabell Calloway III

Was one of the Swing "Greats" of the swing era. Conducted his own band and was the main source for making the term "Jitterbug" a household name.

--His famous "Minnie The Moocher" song would lead him to fame and fortune when he forgot the words when performing the song and started add ad-libbing Hi-De-Hi-de Ho.
