Bearle married Joyce Matthews, they divorced (they later re-married) and Joyce went on to marry Billy Rose.

   Berle was not a dancer per-say, however he had alot to do with dancers and about dancers and was often time found at Sefanino's Club in Beverly Hills, Ca. (a West Coast Swing dance hang out in the 1980's ...Sandra Giles). Berle is pictured with his mother doing the Big Apple at a square dance on left in 1938.

   Emmy award winner Berle was so popular he helped start the sale of Television sets in American households just so they could watch his show and when a commercial came on the water department saw a surge in water use (Toilet use). He was one of the first seven inductee's in the TV Hall Of Fame. He was also very well known as a big man if you get my drift ("Biggest ____ in Hollywood"). Berle lived to be 93 years old and passed away from colon cancer on March 27, 2002.
