Anne Baxter Anne Baxter
    Ann Baxter was the daughter of Kenneth Stuart Baxter and his wife, Catherine Dorothy Wright (grand daughter of Architect Frank Loydd Wright.) Anne was an Actress and Dancer. She began acting lessons under Russian emigre actress Maria Ouspenskaya at the age of 11 and made her Broadway debut at age 13 in "Seen But Not Heard." Anne won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for playing a rescued bad girl in "The Razor's Edge" (1946.)

    In 1961 Baxter and second husband Randolph Galt (her first was actor John Hodiak) left Hollywood to live on a cattle ranch in the Australian Outback; she chronicled the arduous experience in a well-received book, 1976's "Intermission: A True Story." Her best dancing scenes were with Actor / Dancer Dan Dailey.
