     The images below show the basic foot positions within dance. When you dance your feet should always be in one of these positions at all times depending on what body position and direction of movement you are doing.

      Get to know them as they will help you to learn and be able to see movement better when broken down for you by your instructor which will save you alot of time, frustration and money when learning

Equal Weight
Second Foot Position Closed Third Foot Position Open Third Foot Position
noinfo Walk a Straight Line,
"Heel and Toe" on Line		 noinfo Curve is from Forward Foot, Slightly Turning while Walking noinfo Weight on Forward Foot, Back is Ball of the Foot
