I Dood It (aka: By Hook or by Crook )
" A MADCAP MUSICAL COMEDY "

-- Synopsis: Constance Shaw (Powell) is a dance star on Broadway, Joseph Rivington Reynolds (Skelton) is a keen fan of hers. After she is fed up with her friend, she meets Joseph and marries him, because she thinks he is the owner of a mine. But that's a missunderstanding, he works at a cleaning shop as a pants-presser. After disturbing rehearsals he is thrown out of the theater, but when he sneaks in again, he discovers his boss talking about a bomb they want to set in the theater to blow up an ammunition store next door. Does Skelton save the day?

* It's full of laughs, music and dance. Eleanor Powell does some great dancing and this is the film she knocked herself out cold rehersing the Lariat Dance scene. There are even two Kids doing some very good Hollywood style Lindy Hop and in a zoot suit to-boot!. Buck and Bubbles appear and do a great Tap dance routine. Lena Hornes does a Song and dance.
