-- Synopsis: This Video is about construction workers in World War II in the Pacific who are needed to build military bases. John Wayne takes a crew of construction workers and turns them into one of WW II's toughest fighting forces in this action-packed war classic. But first he has to convince the army brass to let his civilians bear arms, and then he's got to whip them into combat shape. Pretty good W.W.II propaganda machine/ film for the time.

* This is not a dance film but, John Wayne dances the Jitterbug with world Jitterbug champion " Twinkle toes Tucker" (Adele Mara) in a pretty funny Jitterbug scene at a officers party. The dance isn't very good as a dancer goes, but he was supposed to look like he didn't know what he was doing when dancing with the " World Champ" and he did that well. Wayne is back lead in a couple of dance tricks. For swing dance entertainment it gets a 10, for dance a 1. Wayne also does the Jitterbug in A Lady Takes a Chance.
