Synopsis: This is a excellent Swing Dance documentary of the Lindy Hop aka Jitterbug. It includes an oral history with interviews with original Whitey's Lindy Hoppers Norma Miller and Frankie Manning as well as other dancers and musicians including Dizzy Gillespie. Swing musicians from the 1930s argue the derivation of the Jitterbug from the Lindy Hop. It is only available through the Filmakers Library as well as your local Library if available. The clip on the left is a short preview.
Cab Calloway also had a song called "The Call of the Jitterbug" that came out in 1933.
