Synopsis: Mr. Murray explains the
Shag to a mock dance class. Murray demonstrates how to do a step,
then does a brief exhibition and continues on with four or five
basic steps such as the " Time Step nad the " Break" .
Then he calls out a few of his " Advanced" students to
demo the dance. When the class concludes they are off to the Lido
Country Club where his 'Arthur Murray Shag dancers' take to the
floor and do a dance routine for the patrons.

Dancers. It is basically a Slow-Slow-Quick-Quick. This instructional
film has never been released on video and was only available in
117' 16mm. It has been transferred to video thru dance enthusiasts
and is available thru the Library of Congress.. |
