You'll Never Get Rich
You'll Never Get Rich (aka: He's My Uncle)
"Exciting loveliness and rhythm in a star-spangled army musical! "

-- Synopsis: Fred Astaire stars as choreographer-turned-soldier Robert Curtis, has rarely been looser, and Rita Hayworth, as dancer Sheila Winthrop, has rarely been more graceful. After Cortland's wife (Frieda Inescort) discovers a telltale diamond bracelet, impresario Martin Cortland tries to show he's not chasing after showgirl Sheila Winthrop and Robert Curtis gets caught in the middle of the boss's scheme. Army conscription offers Robert the perfect escape from his troubles ... or does it? Nominated for 2 Oscars.

* You'll Never Get Rich is the first of two that Fred Astaire and Rita Hayworth made together (followed by You Were Never Lovelier) make a nice couple but is a little light on the dancing. Rita was a professional dancer (the Dancing Cansino's) so her pairing with Fred Astaire would be sure to please. Astaire and Rita Hayworth engage in some fancy solo Tap footwork and have one scene where they actually dance together to a Rumba " So Near and Yet So Far" which has Rita out dancing Fred in the Latin dance department. There is an ensemble dance at the start of the film called " Boogie Barcarolle. The Cakewalk song is only sung and not danced to by the stars as the finale.

DVD Version also features: A couple of theatrical trailers.
